Why do we fundraise?

Fundraising helps supplement annual student fees so that we are able to provide high-quality instruction and opportunities for our students throughout the school year. 

The monies collected during these efforts are used to support the Fossil Ridge Marching Band and Color Guard during the fall season, as well Concert Bands, Jazz Ensembles, Winter Guard and Winter Percussion throughout the rest of the year. 

They pay for staff and instructors, clinicians, new instruments and equipment, repairs, music and licenses, transportation to and from events, food for students during our events, and perhaps most importantly, scholarships for students to ensure that any student can participate in band regardless of their financial situation. 

How Do We Fundraise?

Each of the larger fundraising events we host includes student participation and parent volunteer involvement, to ensure that every event is as successful as it can be. Some past events include our bi-annual cash wash, our annual golf tournament, our annual Band Blitz event, and our annual silent auction. 

Smaller more regularly scheduled opportunities include affinity nights at local restaurants.
